I Will Now Complain About The Weather

What a vast difference between these two photos (you may click on them to make them LARGER if you wish) Amsterdam in June. San Francisco in June. Notice in the first photo the lovely foliage and bright sun. It just looks warm and inviting. In the second photo my daughter is wearing a wool hat and sweater. At the beach. It’s almost summer isn’t it?
I’ve been living in this city for about 9 years and still haven’t gotten to used the foggy, cold weather. I’m hoping I might be able to convince my husband to move someplace that is warm during the summer so I don’t need to own a multitude of “winter” turtlenecks and “summer” turtlenecks. Amsterdam would be a nice choice. We can ride our bikes everywhere, wear wooden shoes (not while we ride our bikes, although I’m sure it can be done, I’m a little klutzy) tip-toe through the tulips, and enjoy ALL that Amsterdam has to offer. If you know what I mean.

Please promise us that you will take a photo of you tiptoeing through the tulips in clogs. I really, really want to see that pic.

Same here, I'm not used to the weather yet. It's very confusing coming from a tropical country. I was shocked when I first waded in the ocean water, it was BBBBRRR-
    COLD! Even during summer.

Well, maybe we'll go back someday to the Philippines and retire there. :)

By the way, your daughter looks so adorable.

    Enjoy your week. :)

I grew up in Connecticut, where if it wasn't for the waves, the water at the beach would have a thin crust of ice all year long. I still have a little wool bathing suit from my childhood! Yes, wool.

Here is Texas in the summer … (picture of person melting in the sun) … much better!

Oh yeah sure Fran, you'll be the first one I'll send the photos to. Then you must dispose of them promptly.

Shey – My daughter had fun regardless of her bizarre beach attire.

The Philippines sounds nice and WARM.

I grew up in Connecticut as well Lesley. Fairfield County. Never had a WOOL bathing suit though. Maybe I should try and knit one for my kids. I can't knit though.

I'm headed back there in a few weeks. Would you like me deliver any special message to your "people?"
