This was Kitty Miller. He was a stray cat I found wandering the streets of Greenwich Connecticut many years ago. I am a sucker for any animal without a home so it’s a good thing I don’t live in the South because I would be the proud owner of a gaggle of crocodiles.
Somehow I managed to lure him up the hill to my restaurant with a juicy, plump, smoked shrimp. I was going to keep him but soon found that he and my other cats would never be friends. They were spoiled stuck up shelter cats and didn’t want to mingle with a lowly street cat. So I gave him to my Mom and quickly moved to San Francisco before she could change her mind. Kitty soon became a part of the family. And gained about 20 pounds.
He lived a good long life, and estimate that he was about 17. We can look back and fondly remember him delivering the bloody heads, entrails and other miscellaneous body parts such as the ears, eyes, and limbs of birds, chipmunks and baby bunnies to my mother’s doorstep. He was so proud…..

It's good you found him because it sounds like he had a good life. Now, he's in kitty heaven. Wherever that is.
Awe, it's very upsetting when kitties leave. : (
Hi Shey – That's what I tell my daughter when she asks where our old dog Timber is. Dog heaven.
Still not sure where dog or cat heaven exactly is or if it even exists but it sounds good to a kid!
Yes Genny it's just not fair!
I have the ashes of all my cats and dogs. Somewhere. I can't find them….
I'm sure they are safe and sound someplace in this house.
That's a pretty kitty. And now you've made me come out of a bit of a depression and want to go find pics of long lost pets gone by.
(hugs) Thanks, Amanda.
Aw shucks John, glad I could be of help, you're very welcome.
It's so incredibly tough to lose a pet, but happy memories and photos are such a nice comfort…
We've had 2 cats for 7 years here in the mountains, but we just lost one recently. She was probably coyote food. But she had a good run while it lasted.
Boy, you really DO live in the mountains…
So sorry to hear about your kitty.
That looks akin to the stray cat that drug off my little brother and ate him a few years back.
Mom was devastated and Dad figured it was one less mouth to feed and I was grateful for the extra room within the shanty.
Well obbop I would send you my condolences but you don't seem to mind that your little brother is gone….
Do you happen to have the phone number of that cat?
I have a few relatives I'd like him to meet.
hey, your blog is different. I like it very much. In fact, it gives me an idea to start a similar blog.
Regards,

Sorry about Kitty Miller. I'm sure he was one of the good guys.
Listen Amanda! I come here for laughs, NOT to be reminded that kitties are NOT immortal!
I am very sorry for your loss. I've had my kitty for 9 years. Sometimes, when she is sleeping, I pet her and plead that she never die!
It's creepy, I know. But I don't care.
RIP Kitty Miller
